Owner and operator Jenny Jarvis has a passion and love for food. She has worked for 9 years in the film industry as a chef, serving most major stars coming to B.C.

A certified baker, Jenny owned the Trincomali Bakery on Galiano Island for 10 years. She has traveled the world and taken cooking classes in all the countries that she’s visited.

The Worldly Gourmet is located in a beautiful 1944 heritage building in Ladysmith, B.C.

Jenny and her husband Cal carefully researched then revitalized the building using heritage colours as well as exposing the 12x12 beams to reveal their original splendor.

Finally, the old aluminum doors were removed and replaced with local, handmade old growth fir doors to complete the restoration.
